Spend the time on the audit — not on hunting for documents
Captier keeps every request, document and deadline in one place. Accountants get a clear overview, manual chasing drops, filing takes care of itself, and the client gets a simpler process.
Live demo
Clients have delivered 1,934 documents across 3,461 requests. 57 of them have been reviewed and approved.
Email was built for conversation — not for collecting documents
When audit material moves by email, requests, documents and follow-ups scatter across inboxes and long threads. It becomes hard to see what has arrived, what is missing, and where the material was filed afterwards.
Captier holds the whole process in one place — from the first request to the document being received, reviewed and approved.

Material for the 2025 audit

- What is missing?
- Latest version?
- Where was it filed?
Collecting documents with Captier
- Every request and document sits per client and financial year
- Each document attaches directly to the request it belongs to
- Status shows whether material is missing, delivered or approved
- Accountant and client work from the same current view
- Reminders are sent straight from the request
- The whole trail and its conversation stay together
- Documents are filed automatically in the right structure
- Accountants see at a glance who delivered or reviewed what
- The client always knows what is outstanding
- A request ends clearly once the material is approved
Collecting documents by email
- Files sit scattered as attachments across separate threads
- No single view of what is still outstanding
- Status has to be pieced together from mails and replies
- It is unclear which file is the latest version
- Follow-ups and reminders have to be sent by hand
- Material then has to be downloaded and filed manually
- Documents risk being filed under the wrong client or year
- Knowledge of the process lives in one accountant's inbox
- The client cannot see for themselves what is still missing
- A thread has no clear ending and no approval state
Captier covers collecting and reviewing supporting documents. The audit procedures themselves stay in your own tools.
One shared view for accountant and client
Every request carries a clear status, so both sides can always see what is missing, what is awaiting review, and what is finished.
- Not started
- The request has been created, but work has not started yet.
- Awaiting client
- Waiting for the client's reply or material.
- In progress
- The accountant is working on the request right now.
- Delivered
- The client has delivered the material, which is awaiting the accountant's review.
- Approved
- The material has been reviewed and approved. The request is closed.
- Past deadline
- The deadline has passed and the material has not been delivered.

Access and control
Access to client material is governed by clear roles and permissions, so each user only reaches what is relevant to their work.
- Access enforced in the database
- PostgreSQL row level security decides what each user can see. Access is enforced in the database, not only in the interface.
- Roles on both sides
- Both the client side and the accounting firm have several roles. What a screen shows follows from the role.
- Separated firms and clients
- Each accounting firm has its own clients. Clients can have parent and subsidiary companies with inherited access.
- Magic-link sign-in
- Access is granted through a single-use link to the user's email address. There is no password to reuse or leak.
- Private requests
- A request can be marked private. Both the request and its file names are then visible only to its creator, the assignee and the firm's administrators.
- Locked financial years
- A financial year can be closed and locked so documents are not altered after completion.

Frequently asked questions
What does Captier cover, and what does it not?
Captier covers document collection: request lists per client and financial year, file upload and download, comments, reminders, status overviews and an approval queue. Captier does not perform audit procedures, does not do planning or reporting, and does not pull figures from your bookkeeping system.
Can we reuse a request list from last year?
Yes. Request lists can be copied to another financial year or to other clients, and statuses reset on copy. There is no import of existing PBC templates from spreadsheets today.
How does the client know what to do?
The client sees a list of the requests still outstanding, with title, description and due date, and uploads directly on the request. Reminders are sent from the request and cannot be repeated within 24 hours.
Do you integrate with bookkeeping systems, banks or public registries?
No. The only registry lookup in the product today is a CVR lookup that fills in a company's name and address from its CVR number. Integrations with bookkeeping, banks and data extraction are things we are looking at, but they do not exist in the product.
Do you support Danish and English?
Yes. The whole product is available in Danish and English, and each user picks their own language.
How do we get started?
Book a demo. We show the product against your own workflows, and then we agree what a rollout looks like for your firm.
